Zion's National Missions

Greensburg, Kansas                                            

On May 5, 2007, the town of Greensburg Kansas was struck by a devastating F5 tornado that destroyed the entire town.    In April 2008, Zion’s mission and outreach team answered the needs of the Greensburg community, as they sent a team of volunteers to assist in the rebuilding efforts.  Zion worked in coordination with Haviland United Methodist Church in Haviland Kansas.   

Mission Central                                                      

This ministry goes to Mission Central in Mechanicsburg the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.  We verify health kits, school kits or do anything else they need done.   If you plan to go along, you must contact Ann Bixler ahead of time.

Red Bird Mission                                                       

Red Bird Mission, a non profit agency located in the Application mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, empowers individuals and advocates justice by providing education, and health and community outreach ministries to area low-income residents.  Areas of ministry include education, health and wellness community outreach, economic opportunities and community housing improvement. Zion Church supports supports Red Bird financially through the ongoing efforts of Campbell's Soup can labels and General Mills box tops for education.  A jar for these items is in the Narthex.  Work teams from Zion have served there and the opportunity is available for future service.
